Legal Futures Associate and technology innovator Peppermint Technology  will be the first practice and case management supplier to deliver social connectivity as standard, from its Legal Service Platform (LSP).
The growth of social technologies is fundamentally changing the way that organisations and individuals interact. People are now able to participate in rich online communities based on their mutual interests or professional applications.
The Legal Service Platform, built on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, will see the first wave of social innovation in the Q1 2012 release. The functionality will be available within the LSP as standard.
The release will enable Activity Feeds in the LSP via a ‘Facebook’ type user interface. Activity Feeds simplify business insight and collaboration across internal communities and can be posted manually by users or triggered by pre-defined events, in the matter or client records.
Social innovation allows partners, fee earners and legal staff to be more collaborative through quick, short communications as well as the ability to ‘follow’ whatever is important to them both within and outside the firm, for example specific clients, matters, projects, special interest groups etc.
