Legal Futures Associate has announced its lead sponsorship of Manchester Law Society’s (MLS) forthcoming conference, “Operating in a Changing World”, being held in Manchester on 30 June.

Chaired by Andrew Otterburn, a leading law firm management consultant and author of From Recession to Upturn – financial management and strategy for law firms (Law Society – 2009) among other publications, the conference is designed to stimulate new ideas and ways that law firms can overcome the challenges of the Legal Services Act to become more efficient, client-focused and competitive.

For some time, SOS’s flexible software solutions have been helping law firms to develop the agility and efficiency demanded by the new, post-Legal Services Act landscape. MLS is well known for its proactive approach towards supporting the region’s law firms with business development and strategy events. This important conference will be no exception and SOS is delighted to support MLS’s work in this area.

David McNamara, managing director of SOS, said: “We are backing this conference as SOS believes that it is imperative for firms to both innovate and evolve – they cannot simply stand still.

“Systems and processes that deliver continuous improvement for client service front of house, whilst focusing on perfecting workflows, customising automation, marketing and performance management behind the scenes, do literally transform old business models and reduce traditional cost overheads.”

The conference is aimed at managing and senior partners and staff line managers for business development, finance & IT. Full details are available from Manchester Law Society.
