Personal injury specialist Snipelaw is celebrating 20 years of using practice management and legal accounts software from Legal Futures Associate .

The software has proven to be robust and reliable and has provided a significant return on investment.

Based in Blackpool, Snipelaw was founded in the 1970s when Ian Snipe took over an offshoot of a Manchester law firm to specialise exclusively in personal injury and some related road traffic accident claims. Today the firm employs around 25 people. As members of a successful solicitor marketing group, Snipelaw receives a good flow of interesting and often quite challenging work.

Commenting on the milestone, Mr Snipe said: “Since we went live in 1991, the SOS system has worked faultlessly and has never let us down. SOS has consistently provided excellent, personal service and has kept the software up-to-date. Even as a smaller client we feel that our business is appreciated and important to them.”

David McNamara, managing director of SOS said: “We are delighted to have reached such a milestone anniversary with Snipelaw. It proves SOS has kept to the right philosophy about building long-term partnerships with clients and developing the SOS community. There is enormous value in a product that works well and without issue that lets a law firm focus on its core business activities and clients.

“As Ian has grown Snipelaw, he will have also witnessed the ongoing evolution of SOS; we share equal pride in this milestone and look forward to the future.”

Why your firm should support working mothers to the hilt

Georgina Hamblin

If you are going to balance the demands of work and childcare, and stay sane, you need to adapt, and with any luck your firm will adapt with you. In doing so you will both win, and your respective productivity will soar. When I had my son, I realised just how lucky I was. Not only did I have the incredible support of my, and my husband’s, family through this life-changing time, but I had a firm that offered me complete flexibility and control over my return to business life.
