One of the founding law firm partners of QualitySolicitors, Howlett Clarke, has implemented the Proclaim Practice Management System from Legal Futures Associate Eclipse Legal Systems in a six-figure deal.
The longest-established practices in Brighton & Hove, Howlett Clarke provides a full range of legal services for clients nationwide. To maintain and build upon its position in the sector, and in line with the QualitySolicitors ethos, the firm recognised a need to implement a core system that would enable it to provide a streamlined service of the very highest standards.
Following a full review of the legal software market, the firm selected Eclipse’s Proclaim system. Howlett Clarke is implementing Proclaim across the entire practice, with case management solutions in the conveyancing, personal injury, matrimonial, probate and employment teams. In addition, the firm is tailoring a Proclaim matter management solution for its landlord and tenant, civil litigation and company/commercial units.
To complete the full Proclaim practice management rollout, Howlett Clarke is also implementing Proclaim Accounts. Eclipse is carrying out a conversion of data from the firm’s incumbent financial software system.
Warren Robertson, partner in charge of IT at Howlett Clarke, said: “Times are changing, and the fact that legal services will be delivered differently in future cannot be avoided. Firms need to prepare for additional competition in the marketplace, and a consumer that will be offered a far greater choice of legal providers.
“Our membership of QualitySolicitors is a great base from which to compete more aggressively, and to offer our clients what they want – honest and transparent legal advice. Implementing Proclaim was our way of really cementing this ethos. The system will enable us to trim the fat from processes and provide a more holistic, efficient and competitive service.”
