The user conference organised by Legal Futures Associate Pilgrim Systems [1] was well attended by clients, respected consultants and selected suppliers.
The two days targeted distinct audiences. Day one focused on the business issues facing the profession and how Pilgrim is helping its clients prosper in this ever-changing environment. The day was geared for law firm business leaders and consultants to the profession.
Both camps reported that they enjoyed the sessions and were heartened to hear that Pilgrim has its finger on the pulse, as reflected by the software developed to date and the roadmap for the future.
Charles Christian described the conference as an “excellent, enjoyable and well-organised event”. Neil Cameron tweeted during the LawSoft Matter Estimating & Monitoring session: “Pilgrim about to launch the best PMS matter costing and pricing tool.” (It is actually already launched but it’s the thought that counts.)
Dinner on Monday night provided everyone with a great networking opportunity. The after-dinner speaker, Clarissa Dickson-Wright of Two Fat Ladies fame, entertained the gathering with amusing and frank stories of her life. Discussions on a wide array of topics carried on into the small hours.
Day two was split into two streams and provided a much-valued insight into various product areas as well as some of the services Pilgrim provides its clients. The day was geared more for the technical members of the user community and ended with the user group meeting, which was positive and constructive as always.
All who attended said they would be back next year.
