LawCare is a charity which provides free and confidential support and assistance to lawyers, their families and staff relating to health problems such as stress, depression and addiction to alcohol and/or drugs. Since 1997 we have helped over 3,000 lawyers to overcome such impairments and return to a full and active role in the profession. We have also provided free and CPD accredited stress recognition and management training to 16,750 lawyers over the last 5 years. In the since mid 2008 we have been particularly involved in helping solicitors facing redundancy and other issues relating to the economic climate.
We also provide free (except for expenses) CPD accredited presentations and seminars subjects relating to stress. Feel free to phone 01268 771333 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Crucial to the service we offer is our team of LawCare volunteers. The one-to-one support they give a suffering lawyer can make a huge difference in the rate of successful recovery. Although we have over 150 volunteers across the country, more are always needed. It is not usually a demanding commitment in terms of time, and becoming a LawCare volunteer is an ideal way to give something back within the profession and is very rewarding.
LawCare free and confidential helpline is available on 0800 279 6888 from 9-7.30 weekdays and 10-4 weekends and public holidays, for support and advice relating to stress, depression, alcohol misuse and other health issues which may affect your ability to practice.
