Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act received royal assent on 26 October 2023.

Throughout 2024 new provisions from the Act will come into effect, including the failure to prevent fraud offence.

Also relevant for businesses are the changes in procedures related to registering a new company with Companies House.

Each provision of the act requires businesses of all kinds to add additional steps to their existing frameworks.
