Boundary issues on registered titles

Only too frequently there is a mismatch between the apparent boundaries of titles as shown on old transfer plans, charge certificates, MapSearch results and the physical features on the ground. Rather than jumping straight into arguments about ransom strips, title insurance or adverse possession, it is necessary to understand how the peculiarly, and intentionally, imprecise conveyancing and land registration regime in this country has given rise to the issue and look at ways of finding a satisfactory solution to the issues discovered.
