Greenaway: Widening geographical footprint
A multi-disciplinary corporate finance group set up by a Cardiff-based law firm has added accountancy expertise to its offering with its latest acquisition.
Meanwhile, law firm consolidator Metamorph Law has unveiled its latest deal – the 11th since entering the legal market nearly five years ago.
The addition of Astrum Accountants, based near Bristol, means the GS Verde Group can offer outsourced finance director and accounting department services to businesses.
Cardiff law firm Greenaway Scott has been pursuing a buy and build growth strategy since becoming an alternative business structure [1] in 2017 and the group now also include corporate finance specialists Verde, marketing and communications agency Dragonfly Marketing, and digitised investment platform, the Elevate investment network.
Group chief executive Nigel Greenaway said the acquisition was not only to increase its service offering but also to widen its geographical footprint.
The combined group now has over 50 staff across four offices and two satellite locations. Its turnover was just over £3m last year, with Astrum now adding a further £1m.

Metamorph Group has acquired Buckinghamshire firm Browns Solicitors, which has 30 staff in two offices in High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
It handles residential conveyancing, commercial property, and wills and probate work, and will continue to trade under the same name.
Metamorph now has revenues of around £35m and 700 staff across the country.
