Martin Tolhurst Solicitors – An apology


Legal Futures would like to clarify that we incorrectly named Kent firm Martin Tolhurst Solicitors as being the subject of a fine for anti-money laundering (AML) failures when it was actually Southend firm Tolhurst Fisher.

This was human error and we have apologised to the firm for the confusion and concern it has caused. We are making a donation to Martin Tolhurst’s charity of the year, Making Miracles.

Martin Tolhurst Solicitors has an exemplary record of AML compliance. In 2024, the firm underwent a comprehensive desktop review inspection by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, which resulted in very positive findings.

This reflects its longstanding commitment to the highest standards of professional conduct, ethical practice, and robust internal controls.
