Insurance services provider launches own law firm

Richards: Head of legal practice for the new ABS

A leading provider of outsourced services and consultancy to the insurance industry has launched its own law firm.

Pro Legal Solutions, an alternative business structure owned by Pro Global, has been developed to handle litigated disease, illness and abuse claims.

Pro Global offers a wide range of services, such as digital services, insurance solutions, claims management, MGA incubation and facilitation, as well as audit services.

Pro Legal is led by managing director Jonathan Richards, who joined Pro Global four years ago from Keoghs and has been technical claims manager for legacy claims.

He said: “Pro Legal represents a more focused, agile, and efficient approach to managing litigation associated with complex insurance claims.

“One of Pro Legal’s major advantages is the ability to seamlessly integrate data-driven insights into the litigation process, empowering enhanced strategies that reduce litigation rates, improve claim lifecycles, and provide continuous feedback from the litigation experience to pre-litigation teams.

“Working with our experienced team of legal experts and providing direct oversight of all claims and a robust monitoring framework, empowers clients to make informed decisions, optimising their claims management and ensuring the highest standards of service at every stage.”

Steve Lewis, CEO of Pro Global, added: “The launch of Pro Legal marks a significant step forward in delivering the highest value outcomes for our clients.

“By taking control of the full legal process, we can ensure greater alignment between pre- and post-litigation strategies, deliver efficiencies, and offer clients more control over their legal spend. We’re focused on streamlining processes, improving indemnity outcomes, and leveraging data to continuously enhance our legal services.”

Though Pro Global is positioning the law firm as “a streamlined and cost-effective alternative to traditional outsourced legal services”, it said it remained “fully committed to its valued panel of legal advisors and views Pro Legal as a complementary capability that can work alongside our existing partners to improve efficiency, outcomes and strategic alignment”.

Pro Global declined an interview request to explain all of this more clearly.
