Consumer champion chairs new CLC board

The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) has unveiled consumer champion Anna Bradley as its new chairwoman.

Ms Bradley currently chairs Ofcom’s independent consumer panel, having previously been consumer affairs director of the Financial Services Authority from 2002-5 and before that chief executive of the National Consumer Council.

Her other current roles include being non-executive chairman of the Soil Association’s organic standards board, a council member of the General Optical Council and a member of the board of Addaction, Britain’s largest drug and alcohol treatment agency.

On 1 May she replace Alistair Guthrie, who has chaired the CLC for five years.
