The Era of the Entrepreneur

November 2014: Legal Futures Annual Conference – The era of the entrepreneur

This year’s Legal Futures Conference reflected more than ever how the face of the legal market is changing, and how entrepreneurs – both with a legal qualification and without – are the driving force behind this.

The events of recent years have firmly put paid to the tired cliché that lawyers cannot be business-like, but to what extent has the influx of successful non-lawyers into the market stimulated this new entrepreneurial culture?

We heard from a range of senior figures on both sides of the fence about how they are shaping the new legal world, and debated what makes a lawyer entrepreneurial with an examination of the LexisNexis Bellwether Report 2014.

We also examined the other trends that will influence the development of legal services over the next five years with the exclusive launch of the Legal Services Consumer Panel’s 2020 report.

See the full list of legal events [1] on the main legal futures event page.
