September 2017: PI Futures – Danger ahead for Claimant Lawyers

From the Insurance Fraud Taskforce to the Civil Liability Bill, from ABTA to the ABI, from Lord Justice Jackson to a new CMC regulator, there are forces of change everywhere. In amongst all this are claimant law firms and ethical CMCs of all shapes and sizes doing their best to serve their clients and turn a profit. That has not always been difficult in PI, but it is certainly getting harder and the combination in particular of the Bill and the Jackson reforms could effect a significant reshaping of the market. The event provided the opportunity to debate the current state of the reform process and what firms can do about it if it does goes ahead.
