Innovation Conference 2017

November 2017: Annual Innovation Conference – Changing the Game
This year marked the tenth anniversary of the Legal Services Act 2007 coming into force. Alternative business structures, of course, did not become a reality until 2011, but it was certainly a good moment to consider what has been achieved to date. Like every year, the programme was put together by going through the previous 12 months’ worth of Legal Futures stories. When you are churning out news every day, you rarely get the chance to sit back and take a longer-term view; the fact is that, incrementally, the market has shifted and in many directions too, whether it is chatbots, acquisition vehicles, multi-disciplinary businesses or new regulation. This event’s programme reflected this.
