Budget 2017: First Time Buyers Stamp Duty Changes Live on Hoowla
The headline point in today’s budget was the announcement that stamp duty will be abolished from today for first-time buyers purchasing properties costing up to £300,000. First time buyers purchasing a house worth up to £500,000 will not have to pay stamp duty on the first £300,000, which HM Treasury estimates will take 80% of first-time buyers out of stamp duty altogether.
