Since the UK was placed in lockdown, there has been an 400% increase in electronic signatures, according to new data released by InfoTrack [1], the legal service provider.
The increase comes as firms look for solutions that obtain signatures on paperwork during a period when staff are working remotely, with limited access to printers and the postal service. 80% of documents sent for signing are reviewed, signed and within just 24 hours, demonstrating the appeal of electronic signatures from both law firms and their clients.
The news comes shortly after comments made by the Lord Chancellor, who recently stated electronic signatures ’are permissible and can be used in confidence in commercial and consumer documents’.
