Sponsored dog walk is most antici-paw-ted event of the year

TLLWThe annual ‘London Legal Walkies’ raises money to support access to justice

On Saturday 21st, four-legged fur friends will be taking part in a walkies with a difference – raising money to ensure equality before the law.

The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal services in London and the South East, helping them provide more free and pro bono legal advice. The Trust’s London Legal Walk, which launched in 2005, is one of the top mass-participation charity events. This year, it saw a record-breaking 15,000 people raise over £870,000 for over 100 organisations.

Last year, the Trust launched an event for dogs (and their human friends) – the London Legal Walkies, a sponsored 5km walk in Greenwich Park, which this year takes place on September 21st. All the money raised by the canine crusaders will help some of our communities’ most vulnerable people access much-needed free legal advice.

There is no entry fee and no minimum fundraising target, they just ask that everyone does their best to get their four-legged friend sponsored. As with the London Legal Walk all funds raised will support the provision of free legal advice services in London and the South East.
