Sick of asking clients for reviews? Now it’s time to review your law firm

By Legal Futures Associate Legmark

Is your law firm obsessed with client reviews?  Trustpilot, Feefo, Google, Facebook, the list goes on.

The pressure to score consistently high reviews and the focus on seeking client feedback can be overwhelming/frustrating/annoying (delete as appropriate).

However – with the emphasis firmly on client reviews – when was the last time your law firm asked the most important asset (the employees) to review the business?

Is your voice being heard when it comes to how the firm operates, communicates, treats the staff?

Internal communication is not easy to get right, and developing a strong positive culture in a firm typically starts with open and honest communication throughout the business from top to bottom.

To tackle this issue, and the gauge what the current state of the sector is, we’ve made our client survey available to the entire legal profession in order to discover the good, the bad, and the ugly, of working in a law firm.

Click here to complete the client survey!

This survey is adapted from one we use for clients to use in their firms, that has thrown up some fascinating and important results over the years.

Now we’re asking for 1,000 people across the sector to complete the survey and raise £1,000 for charity at the same time.

We’re donating £1 for every entry up to £1,000 for St Ann’s Hospice in Greater Manchester.

The survey only takes a few minutes and not only does it give you a cathartic opportunity to have your say on your firm, but you’ll feel good about raising money for charity.

The survey looks into a number of key areas such as:

  • Law Firm Career Development
  • Is your law firm an engaging place to work?
  • Workplace culture and diversity
  • How satisfied you are with your pay and benefits?
  • Law firm management and communication

We can’t hope to change what we don’t fully understand. So the first point is to really know and understand the concerns and struggles employees in the legal profession, like yourself, have. Only then can we start to make the changes that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on your career.

We want to learn more about your thoughts around pay, how you are managed, fairness in the workplace, your firm’s culture and how this affects you.

This is your chance to have your say about the state of the sector in the UK. The anonymous results of this survey will be used to compile a report that will be made generally available free of charge with the aim of promoting positive change and championing good practices.

You’ll then be able to benchmark your experiences with the averages across the sector as a whole, and understand if you’re in a good place already, or perhaps that there is some greener grass out there.

By shining a light on the state of legal employment, we can move towards a better workplace for legal sector employees.

Please take the survey today, for us, for you, and for St Ann’s Hospice and all the people and families they support.

Five minutes and you’re done! 😊
