SearchFlow , the UK’s largest property search information provider, was delighted to sponsor and present the Rising Star of the Year Award at this year’s Modern Law Awards.
The event, held on 25th September at The Dorchester in London, celebrated the very best individuals and leading brands in the legal profession across categories including compliance, subject or business leadership, marketing or client care initiatives.
The Rising Star Award salutes an individual who had worked in the profession for no more than 5 years, demonstrating a high level of involvement in their area of practice and able to overcome significant obstacles.
The 2013 award went to Coby Benson, Solicitor at Bott and Co, a leading Cheshire personal injury firm. In his 4 years at the firm, he has gained a wealth of experience in both litigated and non-litigated personal injury cases and also in the corporate sector, dealing with regulatory law, commercial disputes and corporate transactions.
Coby’s award was largely a recognition of his role in establishing the Aviation Team at Bott & Co, providing an innovative compensation recovery service to passengers on delayed or cancelled flights. As the first service of its kind in the UK, Coby has been responsible for taking a number of airlines to court, and winning, on behalf of air passengers.
Said Perran Moon, Marketing Director, SearchFlow: “We were excited to be a part of the very first Modern Law Awards and keen to support and recognise an individual with a passion and commitment for excellence in legal services. Coby demonstrated this with aplomb across an impressive roster of cases, underlining an attention to detail and quality that we recognise and reward at SearchFlow to support our clients.”
On receiving his award, Coby Benson said: “I was stunned and delighted to receive this recognition at the Modern Law Awards. With the flight compensation service only launched in February this year it has been an intense 12 months but we’ve had some amazing successes as a team and I wouldn’t be winning this award without all the wider support and involvement from the firm and its superb staff..”
