Quittance Personal Injury is expanding its network of panel solicitors. The company has seen strong growth in recent months across all categories of personal injury. Quittance operates a national panel, including a number of large law firms.
Quittance Personal Injury entered the personal injury market in 2015 with a view to offering claimants a “fairer deal”. Chris Salmon, Operations Director at Quittance, said “The impending PI reforms are very likely to negatively impact claimants, perhaps more so than LASPO. Whether or not the reforms go ahead, we believe that claimants’ greater awareness of their options will drive competition in the sector.”
The company promotes its “fairer No Win, No Fee” offering exclusively through online channels. Potential claimants who contact Quittance are taken through a triage process to assess their eligibility to make a claim. Quittance then connect claimants to a solicitor for further risk assessment.
The company’s founders, whose previous venture, Fitzalan Partners, was acquired by National Accident Helpline in 2015, have set their sights on ambitious growth in 2016.
Since launch, Quittance has seen a significant month-on-month increase in claimant enquiries. Mr Wilson said “We recognise that many firms value a mix of work, as well as the flexibility to control volumes of new work to help optimise their capacity. We have developed our model with these needs in mind.”
The company is focusing its marketing efforts on claim types that will be less affected by the proposed reforms. Quittance are securing a range of claim types for panel members, including clinical negligence, employers’ liability and occupiers’ liability claims.
Quittance are now actively seeking new panel members based in England, Wales and Scotland. Mr Salmon added “We want to work with firms who share our ethos. Large or small, if a firm puts the individual claimant’s needs first, and prioritises clear communication and practical, useful advice, we hope to hear from them.”
