Quill invests in future cashiering talent with re-launched trainee scheme

QuillThe UK’s largest outsourced legal cashiering bureau, Quill, is re-launching its trainee scheme designed to breed the next generation of cashiers for its growing Pinpoint team. Quill’s purpose-built, unique-in-the-industry trainee programme combines on-the-job experience and peer support at Quill with classroom-based learning, and equips individuals with a recognised legal accounts management qualification upon course completion.

Quill’s currently in the process of recruiting its next intake of trainees and warmly welcomes applications from interested candidates. Shortlisting and interviewing will take place over the coming weeks with successful trainees taking up their posts at the beginning of September to coincide with the new academic year.

Previous trainees include cashiering supervisor, Simeon Coxon, who heads up his own team of six cashiers, and QA supervisor, Chris Shingler, who oversees development of Quill’s market-leading Interactive legal accounts software, both of whom have progressed their careers in the ensuing years and hold senior positions. Other recent trainees, now full time cashiers, include Paige Costello and Jack Hill who joined Quill during the last trainee intake in 2014.

Managing director, Julian Bryan, comments: “With more law firms outsourcing their cashiering than ever before, demand for our outsourced legal accounts service has risen. That’s why we’re expanding our team and nurturing future cashiering talent at the same time. By appointing people at the start of their career, we’re able to hone their skills to cope with the demands of a busy cashiering office whereby each cashier is responsible for managing the accounts of multiple client sites with 100% accuracy.

“There’s a real skills shortage in this important area so we’re also giving these young adults an opportunity of a lifetime career in a specialised field where they’ll never be wanting for work. Where our clients are concerned, we’re future proofing our outsourced legal cashiering service by training up a new batch of cashiers.

“If you believe you’ve got what it takes to thrive in this role and you’re keen to join a company where it’s genuinely fun to work, please get in touch with us. We’d love to hear from you.”
