poweredbypie adds free ‘working from home’ webinar

poweredbypieSearch and software provider poweredbypie has added two new free webinars to its CPD programme specially designed for law firms.   The new session on ‘working from home’ covers home IT security, data security, best practice, safety in the workplace and training opportunities.  A further webinar has also been added to the regular schedule on remote secure communications which introduces poweredbypie’s new online communications tool: Document Portal.

Anthony O’Hanlon, training and onboarding manager at poweredbypie explains: “We currently run several webinars each week covering subjects such as AML, Indemnity Insurance, Cyber Security, Transparency of Fees, Equality and Diversity and now Working From Home and Remote Secure Communication as a response to current demand.

“With many law firms’ staff now needing to work from home, measures need to be put in place correctly to prevent cybersecurity issues.  Our new webinar explains the implications and provides advice on these pressing topics.

“We have also added an online session about our new online communication tool Document Portal.  Document Portal enables simple and secure electronic exchange of all documentation within the conveyancing process, particularly helpful when email is not secure and meeting clients in person is not possible.

“Home networks may be even more susceptible to a cyber-attack and so a secure way to communicate with clients has never been so essential.  Document Portal removes the risk of fraud, providing secure 2 Factor Authentication to store, share and sign legal documents which are accessible only to those with authorised access.

“Our webinars offer a convenient, accessible method of learning.  Most have been accredited and are also acceptable towards CPD requirements.  At poweredbypie, our goal is to help law firms solve common challenges faced in their everyday working environment.  From providing searches to trusted technical solutions that improve workflow, our experienced team use their insight to offer the necessary support to keep work flowing, even in these challenging times.”
