One of the UK’s largest personal injury law firms, Camps Solicitors, has implemented Eclipse’s Proclaim system for its 300 staff.
The Merseyside based national practice specialises in accident and injury claims of all types – from simple food poisoning claims through to cycle accidents, RTAs (e.g. whiplash) and complex multi-track spinal / brain cases. Lexcel accredited, the firm is also a longstanding member of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society.
In readiness for large-scale changes to the personal injury claims sector, Camps embarked on a strategy to replace its existing software solutions. Preparing a drive for efficiency, improved customer care and reduced operating costs for the claims regime post-April 2013, key requirements were full lifecycle management of a huge range of matter types, rapid process automation, streamlined volume throughput and reduced unit cost.
Camps has implemented throughout the whole organisation as its sole practice management solution. As part of the implementation, Eclipse carried out a conversion of both case and accounting data from the practice’s incumbent systems. For client self-service, Camps has also taken the FileView Interactive tool, providing clients with secure two-way online access to relevant case data and activities, again focusing on its drive to improve customer service delivery and experience .
James Barron, IT director at Camps, says: “Based on our current technology there was a need to improve within a number of areas, requiring a totally integrated solution and detailed management reporting. With the April 2013 changes that are affecting the PI sector, we required a solid, stable system with a proven track record.
“A number of solutions were considered and the decision was made to implement Eclipse’s Proclaim system. There are huge challenges facing those in the PI sector – both operational and strategic – and Camps is now well prepared and positioned. The selection and use of the right IT systems is more important now than it has ever been.
“In Proclaim we have a flexible one-stop-shop for every element of client and case data, providing unrivalled ongoing intelligence, trend analysis and operating costs monitoring. In addition, Eclipse’s understanding of the government (and soon EL/PL) cases is unmatched, giving us great confidence moving forward in these changing times.”
