New marketing drive sees Butcher & Barlow adopt SOS Connect

Law firm Butcher & Barlow LLP has signed up to as part of an ambitious five-year growth plan.

The firm is using Solicitors Own Software’s flagship SOS Connect application for integrated CRM and marketing, initially to nurture existing clients and then to seek out new clients and contacts.

The move is part of a growth plan in which Butcher & Barlow aims to double turnover within five years.

Butcher & Barlow is a full service law firm with 130 staff, including 19 partners, based in ten offices across Cheshire and Lancashire.

“We became aware of some limitations with our existing legal software solution and decided we needed to upgrade,” says partner Jonathan Aldersley.

“We decided to invest in SOS Connect’s CRM and marketing module, initially with a view to marketing our services more effectively to existing clients. Over time we will then look to expand this capability to include new clients and contacts.

“The firm’s aim is to double our turnover in the next five years. This is an ambitious, but we believe, achievable goal, and SOS Connect will play a key part in helping us to get there.”

David McNamara, managing director of SOS, said: “More than ever, attracting new clients, and developing the relationship with existing clients, is business critical to law firms.

“Ambitious firms such as Butcher & Barlow appreciate that an integrated and effective CRM and marketing strategy is crucial to this process.”
