Leading outsourced communications provider, Moneypenny, will return to the judging panel for the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award.

The award recognises exceptional front-of-house receptionists working within the corporate sector and celebrates the vital service they provide within busy offices nationwide.

Jess Pritchard, Head of Corporate at Moneypenny, said: “The role of a receptionist continues to evolve and is so much more than simply meeting and greeting and answering the phone – particularly since the pandemic.

“Front-of-house staff are fundamental to the successful day-to-day running of a business and as an organisation that employees an army of receptionists and PAs worldwide, we understand this more than most.

“A front-of-house receptionist tends to be the first encounter a visitor has with a company so in a world where tremendous value is placed on client care, the power of this initial impression should never be underestimated. We’re proud to partner with an initiative that shines a light on these often unsung heroes.”

Dirk Talsma, Managing Director of Rapport, said: “I am delighted to be partnering with Moneypenny on the CROTY competition once again this year and we’re thrilled to welcome Joanne to the CROTY family. I have no doubt that she will make an excellent addition to the judging panel.”

The judging team includes experts from Rapport, Admiral Recruitment, Proinsight, Search, Vpod and StrawberryFinch.

Shortlisted finalists will be invited to interview during April, with the overall winner announced at the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award ceremony on 10 May, to coincide with International Receptionists’ Day.

Joanne Tattum, Head of Partnerships at Moneypenny – who will judge on the day, continued: “Every year, the standard of entries improves and as receptionists continue to  take on increasing responsibility within businesses, they have even more to celebrate. I look forward to meeting this year’s finalists and hearing all about their career journeys.”

The competition is open to any receptionist working within a corporate organisation either directly or through a third-party service provider and as well as the award itself, the winner will be treated to a fully hosted trip to New York later in the year.

To enter, individuals need to visit www.CROTY.co.uk to download an application form. Deadline for entries is 3 March.
