LexisNexis UK today announced the full launch of its comprehensive LexisPSL service for lawyers, covering 25 practice areas.
The LexisPSL service combines the practice notes, time-saving tools, precedents and checklists required for contemporary legal practice, with direct links through to the primary law and the authoritative industry standard titles for which LexisNexis is known. Practitioners can instantly navigate from the “what” and “how” of the law to the “why”, with materials from key texts including Halsbury’s, Butterworth’s and Tolley, as well as specialist legal magazines and journals.
Over the past few years, LexisNexis customers have shared their need for a practical resource that meets their requirements to work efficiently without compromising standards. Though clients may want just a quick, simple answer, their advisers need to be confident this is backed up by authority and an understanding of the law.
The LexisNexis 80-strong team of experienced lawyers, along with hundreds of leading practitioners from across the industry, have together developed a practical know-how service that meets both these needs. Through a layered approach of short, easy-to-read documents with clearly signposted, seamless links through to the underlying materials, LexisPSL gives users the ability to delve as far into a topic as they need to go without having to look elsewhere for a complete answer.
This is further complemented by productivity applications such as LexisSmart drafting tools, fillable government forms and damages calculators.
Christian Fleck, LexisNexis UK managing director, said: “Just as Halsbury’s Laws became the definitive legal encyclopaedia in the 20th century, we aim to make LexisPSL the definitive tool for lawyers in the 21st century. We are very proud to be the market leader in legal information since 1818, and LexisPSL is the exciting next step on this journey. We listened to our customers and have produced what I believe is a ‘best in class’ product. We know that lawyers need fast, easy access to information that will help them improve their productivity. We also know they need further authority and insight to confidently advise their clients and sleep well at night.”
LexisPSL covers a comprehensive range of practice areas for lawyers advising both corporate and individual clients. Recently launched areas of legal practice include corporate and commercial law, the full financial suite of restructuring & insolvency, banking & finance, and financial services, as well as immigration, pensions, IP & IT, and competition law.
LexisPSL is already used by more than 10,000 lawyers in 1,450 law firms, in-house legal departments and public sector organisations.
