Continuing to expand their team, Legal Eye  are pleased to announce the appointment of their newest member.
Joining in the role of Compliance Manager, Nimesh Ganatra – who will be based in the Midlands – is set to bring a wide range of industry experience to the role.
Following completion of the Legal Practice Course, Nimesh was appointed as Team Leader in the Lender Services Department of a nationally renowned firm. This required working collaboratively with a top 5 Building Society, in order to successfully coordinate and oversee the progress of a remortgage completion.
Moving to the firm’s Risk and Compliance Team enabled Nimesh to enhance his existing knowledge of compliance, Client Due Diligence and Money Laundering, as well as develop it further through the handling of complex complaints.
Passionate about expanding his experience of compliance, he then moved to the Legal Ombudsman where he worked as a ‘Legal Investigator’. Here he was responsible for providing firms and the respective complainant with an appropriate remedy to their problem, based on an in-depth review and evaluation of the evidence. Following his assessment, these recommendations would then be enforced by the Ombudsman if firms were non-compliant.
Before joining the Legal Eye team, Nimesh continued to enhance his knowledge of the industry by working as a Risk and Compliance officer at a top 500 firm. As well as build his experience of working within a range of legal environments, his time here also provided the opportunity to coordinate a Lexcel maintenance visit, taking on additional responsibilities and preparation duties.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Nimesh commented: “I am looking forward to building relationships within Legal Eye as well as externally. I’m also keen to grow my experience with all matters compliance related and in particular, providing solutions and support to Legal Eye’s clients.”
