Lawyer Checker sponsoring prestigious National Paralegal Awards 2019

Lawyer CheckerLawyer Checker [1] is delighted to be sponsoring the brand new National Paralegal Awards 2019 on 29th March 2019, being held in one of the capital’s oldest and most beautiful areas, Bloomsbury.

Organised in association with the Professional Paralegal Register, the awards, situated at The Radisson Blu Hotel in Bloomsbury, London is an exciting opportunity for the legal sector to reward and identify the outstanding paralegals in the UK. The finalists and sponsors will gather for a black-tie gala final including a sumptuous dinner along with our expert judging panel to celebrate excellence and raise the profile of work undertaken by paralegals.

The judging panel include, legal experts Mark Solon, Chairman from Wilmington Legal, Anthony Abrahams, Director General of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Amir Ali MCICM, Chairman CCUA along with Claire Smith, Head of Business Development, Moneypenny.

The awards will focus solely on the work and accomplishments of paralegals across an array of categories. There will be 12 categories in total including Best Employment Paralegal, Best Local Authority Paralegal, Will Writing Organisation of the Year and Best Paralegal company.

Rita Leat, Managing Director of The Professional Paralegal Register who is hosting these new awards said ‘There are an estimated 100,000 plus Paralegals in the UK. The Paralegal Profession needs celebrating, not only because it is the fastest growing legal sector but because it has gone unrewarded for far too long. The achievements of Paralegals in law firms, companies, local authorities and the self-employed is outstanding and we want to reward this. These awards are open to all Paralegals not just those who are members of the PPR’.

Mark Solon, Chairman from Wilmington Legal shared his view of this new initiative to celebrate the work of paralegals “As the law becomes more complex and expands into all areas of life, highly trained specialists in specific areas of practice will be essential. I am delighted to support the Awards as they acknowledge and reward excellence for paralegals. The future’s paralegal!”

Amir Ali MCICM, Chairman CCUA, shared these thoughts on judging these new awards ‘’I am very much looking forward to judging the National Paralegal Awards as Chairman of the Civil Court Users Association. Paralegals are the backbone of the legal sector and it is about time they were recognised for the vital role they play within the profession’’
