The ins and outs of conveyancing risk and legislation

GeodesysGeodesys [1] – a leading provider of conveyancing searches for residential and commercial properties throughout England and Wales – is teaming up with industry experts for their latest Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar for modern conveyancers in Stamford on 6 March entitled ‘The ins and outs of conveyancing risk and legislation’.

The complimentary seminar is taking place at The William Cecil Hotel, Stamford from 8:30am until 2pm (lunch included) and will provide recommendations on the best tools for ensuring individuals remain compliant. Speakers will explore three topical threats facing the modern conveyancer: anti-money laundering, drainage and water issues (CON29DW) and planning / development risk.

Kay Toon, Client Account Executive from Geodesys [2], comments: “Our event in Stamford is a great way for the modern conveyancer to keep themselves updated with industry news, developments and legislation changes, as well as obtain knowledge on the correct search products for client protection. Not only does the event offer free, professional training for industry experts and commentators but it also contributes to the delegates annual CPD training and development records–an integral part of any property professional’s role.”

With the EU 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive now in full swing Jonny Davey, Geodesys product manager, will host an informative seminar for conveyancers on all they need to know to ensure themselves and their businesses are compliant.

He will deliver a second session during the morning on how the CON29DW highlights drainage and water issues currently affecting homeowners, and how these can affect future development.

The third and final part of the seminar will be hosted by Paul Addison from DevAssist and will touch on development in the UK, National Planning Policy Framework and share examples of risk and hidden value case studies.
