iManage, the company dedicated to Making Knowledge Work™, today announced a new integration with ChatGPT Enterprise.
The iManage plug-in gives knowledge workers a direct way to securely access and work with governed iManage content from within ChatGPT Enterprise, while existing permissions, ethical walls, and audit trails remain in place.
With the plugin, iManage gives customers access to trusted, governed organisational knowledge from their AI tool of choice. Customers simply enable the plugin within ChatGPT Enterprise to get started, replacing the need to manually set up and configure a connection themselves. The iManage plugin in ChatGPT gives users the ability to:
- Search iManage content they’re authorised to access, such as a prior agreement, documents from a matter or related correspondence
- Read and review that content, such as an agreement or draft brief, to quickly get up to speed on its terms
- Organise documents and content in iManage from within ChatGPT Enterprise, such as filing a draft into the correct matter
- Save new or updated work back into the iManage platform as a new version, such as a drafted memo or a revised document, keeping the original and full version history intact
Underlying the integration is the iManage Context Fabric™, which connects the signals across an organisation’s content and activity data. Rather than accessing isolated documents, the models available in ChatGPT Enterprise can reason over that connected context – surfacing related work and prior matters. ChatGPT Enterprise users will benefit from answers that are more relevant and verifiable because they are grounded in the organisation’s institutional knowledge and prior work product.
For example, a lawyer preparing a contract review can use ChatGPT Enterprise to find the latest agreement, related correspondence, and relevant amendments stored in iManage, review that material in one workflow, and save updated work back to the appropriate iManage workspace – streamlining the task while keeping the work part of the governed record.
