Groundsure, the UK’s climate and environmental data authority for land and property, has successfully completed certification to become a B Corp.
As one of just 1300 organisations in the UK who achieve this standard, it underlines the commitment the company makes to sustainability, to supporting the communities that it serves and to maintaining a culture focused on achieving the B Corp goals.
The company’s mission is “To help our climate-challenged society make positive, sustainable and responsible land and property decisions” – ensuring that communities become more resilient through better actionable information when they are home buying, assessing land or choosing a business location.
Dan Montagnani, CEO of Groundsure said: “Being a Certified B Corp means that we consider our customers, staff, community and environment in our decision making. Our certification demonstrates our high standards of environmental, social and governance to deliver our products to our clients and that we take transparency in our operation seriously.
We are playing our part in combating one of the world’s biggest challenges – climate change. Our first step is to ensure that we have the right balanced, Earth and People-aware culture that helps contribute to a healthier planet, a great working environment and happier communities.
This is a proud, milestone moment in the history of Groundsure as we continue to evolve our purpose and support to the stakeholders we serve.”
The certification is the culmination of a comprehensive and meticulous 18-month process, project managed by Consultancy Director, Ceri Sansom, who commented:
“The assessment covered every aspect of our operations so we can see them as a whole and make strategic decisions on how we choose to progress. Within a supportive B Corp community that shared their own experiences, it helped us be clearer on how to be a great place to work, be a valued community member and build sustainable, environment-first decisions for our customers, so that they can make informed decisions.”
