Ground-breaking new law firm selects Eclipse’s Proclaim solution

Questus, a unique new law firm founded to manage personal injury claims for other practices on a white-label basis, has selected Eclipse [1]’s practice management software system.

As first reported on Legal Futures [2], Questus was formed by ex-Berrymans Lace Mawer lawyers Tony Walton and Rosalind Danson. With a deep understanding of the claims process developed through working with some of the country’s top insurers, Questus charges a fixed fee to run claims for its law firm clients. On setting up the new venture, it was acknowledged that the underlying case management software architecture would be of paramount importance.

The practice is implementing an integrated Proclaim practice management system for all staff, providing end-to-end case management and practice financials. To provide a full and transparent service for clients, Questus is also taking Eclipse’s FileView online case tracking solution, providing live online progress updates via a secure extranet. Proclaim’s A2A functionality will enable Questus to provide rapid road traffic accident claim progression, using the online portal in line with Ministry of Justice requirements.

Tony Walton, director at Questus, said: “Our offering is a unique one, and generating client confidence is vital for us. As we are handling cases on behalf of other firms, they need to know that operationally and logistically our systems are utterly watertight.

“Proclaim enables us to actively manage cases at a micro-level, supervising every element of a claim to guarantee excellence at every step. Data management allows us to allocate tasks and objectives appropriately, and makes regular quality audits a straightforward thing to do. The type of work we do would not be possible without Proclaim – the system provides a superb platform for us to expand.”
