Frances Lindsay moves to the cloud with Advanced Legal

AdvancedLegal200 [1]Frances Lindsay & Co has become the latest firm to sign up for ALB, the fully integrated practice and case management system (PCMS) from (Advanced).

The south east based law firm will move its applications onto the cloud and replace its ageing accounts system with ALB which will be used by 11 staff, in early 2015.

The firm has been looking to update its office applications and modernise its practice infrastructure as part of its ongoing strategic plans and selected Advanced’s ALB product after a review of the market offerings.

Frances Lindsay, senior partner at Frances Lindsay & Co says, “We were looking for a solution that could replace our existing accounting software and give us the flexibility to grow. A fully integrated PCMS that pulls all the different strands of a practice together such as client and matter management, accounts and management reporting was the obvious choice. ALB fits with us perfectly and provides us with everything we need in a single solution.”

Advanced will provide the firm with hosted versions of ALB, its additional Credit Control module and the firm’s Microsoft Office applications.

Lindsay continues, “The ability to move our IT infrastructure to the cloud was particularly attractive as it removes the headache of managing our own IT, software applications and infrastructure, and the cloud-based solution provides our fee earners with more freedom because of the remote working capability.”

Advanced has seen rapid growth in market demand for its solutions in the last 12 months and recently announced its 350th ALB client.

Doug Hargrove, managing director at Advanced Legal, says, “We have started 2015 as we left 2014 – with continued growth in ALB.  Taking the PCMS to the cloud makes logical sense for any legal firm like Frances Lindsay.  The removal of up-front investment and the ability to adjust working habits as necessary makes it a very attractive proposition for firms looking to expand their operations.”

Advanced Legal is a division of Advanced Computer Software Group plc, a leading supplier of software and IT services to the health, care and business services sectors. In 2014, the Group won Tech Company of the Year in PwC’s UK Tech Awards and ranked in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, which recognises the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK.
