Probate professionals invited to join introductory FAS webinar on 9th July 2020

SearchFlow – the UK’s leading provider of conveyancing search solutions – has introduced Landmark’s unique Financial Asset Search (FAS) service to its service portfolio, which uncovers and consolidates information relating to current, dormant or lost accounts and policies from over 200 financial institutions, covering both assets and liabilities, in one single search.

The service saves law firms and probate professionals numerous hours of administration whilst at the same time reducing risk for both the firm and their clients.

The Landmark FAS service is designed to help legal and probate professionals identify personal pensions, life policies, occupational pensions, unit trusts, investment trusts, investment bonds, National Savings & Investments, Building Societies and Banks dormant accounts, FTSE100 shares; also Wills registered with the officially-recognised national wills register as well as the Experian Unclaimed Asset Register.

The tracing service turns a laborious task of manually locating active, inactive, lost or forgotten financial assets and debts as part of a probate case, into one combined report that is initiated from one single order, saving a great deal of time and administrative work.

To mark the introduction of the service, SearchFlow is hosting a webinar on Thursday 9th July at midday that provides an introduction to Landmark FAS, as well as offering law firms the opportunity to obtain their first Landmark FAS report free of charge, until the end of July 2020.

“By introducing a new Financial Asset Search into our product portfolio, we are offering legal professionals the opportunity to undertake thorough due diligence in the process of administering the estate for every probate case,” said Dr Thomas Quirke, Managing Director of SearchFlow.

“From a single order, the LandmarkFAS service contacts over 200 financial institutions to identify active and inactive financial assets. It takes what could be a time-consuming, manual process and instead makes it simple and straightforward. It also gives confidence to all involved that detailed research has taken place to ensure all assets have been accounted for during probate.”

On ordering a LandmarkFAS, the findings will be delivered within 28 days, with all details consolidated into one single report. The LandmarkFAS system continues to monitor any additional responses for a further 90-days after the initial search was ordered for total peace of mind.

The webinar is taking place on Thursday 9th July at 12 noon – to register for the event follow this link: https://www.searchflow.co.uk/news-and-events/fas-webinar-first-fas-free-offer/.
