The Lawyer UK 200 list of top law firms has just been released and personal injury law firm Express Solicitors has improved on its ranking again, coming in at number 64, up six places from 70 in 2024.
Once again, turnover for the Manchester-based firm is up on previous years with the latest figures for the year ending August 2025 standing at £88.5m for Express Solicitors and its sister company Ontime Reports, up from last year’s figure of £70.6 million.
Express is now the largest PI claim firm in the UK 200, overtaking Slater & Gordon.
James Maxey, CEO of Express Solicitors, said: “Express has had a fantastic 2025 with the firm continuing to grow across all departments and our new placement in the Lawyer UK 200 reflects that.
“In our 25th anniversary year we have smashed our turnover target, acquired two brilliant law firms, HNK Solicitors and Graham Coffey & Co Solicitors, and created new departments so we can better help injured people.
“Alongside this, we have doubled the number of graduates on our training programme – we now have 125 trainees on board. This training programme has gone from strength to strength and received The Princess Royal Training Award towards the end of last year.
“Our new standing in The Lawyer UK 200 is down to the hard work and dedication each employee has had in making Express Solicitors the best it can be.”
The firm also had another round of promotions earlier this month, with as many as 65 staff members promoted across Express Solicitors and sister company Ontime Reports.
