Excitement Mounts for PSG’s ‘Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge’

With only one day to go, staff from across the PSG [1] network of offices are hard at work breaking in their walking boots, dusting off their fleeces and completing last minute training exercises to take on the ‘Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge’. This will be the PSG networks first ever collaborative charity fundraising event in support of local and national charities.

On Saturday June 1st, come rain or shine, walkers will set off to conquer the three highest peaks in Yorkshire of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, walking almost 25 miles in under 12 hours with a combined ascent of over 7000ft.

Gary Miller, from principal event sponsor Groundsure, and self confessed adventurer commented “The Yorkshire 3 Peaks looks like it will live up to its challenging reputation and be a tough climb. I’ve been really impressed by the level of enthusiasm and widespread goodwill we have seen from everyone involved and this will make all the hard work worth it on the day. We are very happy to be able to support PSG in raising funds for all the worthy causes they have chosen.”

After reaching the initial goal of £2000 within days of launching the appeal PSG were pleased to raise their target fundraising total to £5000. Further to this we are delighted to announce that PSG have since met this new fundraising total and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated so far.

Giving back to local communities

Stephen Murray, Business Development Director at PSG added “Our network of local offices are proud to play active roles in the communities they serve. Working with our clients and partners to make a real difference is something that sets us apart from our competitors. We are extremely pleased with the level of support and enthusiasm which we have experienced in response to the challenge – it is wonderful to see so many people donating as well as those giving up their time to walk with us.  It’s going to be a great weekend.”
