Elite Insurance renews commitment to Northampton Saints

Master Elite Insurance Logo_(green) [1]Northampton Saints and Elite Insurance [2] have today announced a new Elite Sponsorship deal that will extend the relationship between club and company for at least a further three years.

Elite Insurance has been an Elite Sponsor of the current Premiership champions since 2012, and over the past two-and-a-half years the relationship between the two parties has become increasingly entrenched and productive in a number of ways.

Elite Insurance’s sponsorship has coincided with the Saints’ most successful period in over 50 years, with the club’s four major cup finals in that time exposing the Elite Insurance brand to a national and international audience through the global television coverage that is given to occasions such as the Premiership and European Challenge Cup finals.

However Elite Insurance’s commitment has also extended to growing the grass roots game in the East of England, with the company also backing the Saints’ extensive community work.

In addition to supporting the club’s Rugby Academies, which develop the sport across the region, the Elite Insurance Sevens Series is giving Under-13 schools and club teams from six counties the opportunity to take their first competitive step in a new Olympic sport.

Given the rapid expansion of initiatives like the Sevens Series and the growing profile of one of England’s top clubs in a Rugby World Cup year, Elite Insurance chief executive Jason Smart said that there had been little hesitation in renewing the company’s commitment to the Saints.

“Over the past two-and-a-half years we have built an exceptional relationship with Northampton Saints,” he said. “We have worked closely together in a number of areas, from growing our profile on the national stage to introducing initiatives like the Elite Insurance Sevens Series.

“We are delighted with how productive our sponsorship has been, and it was not a difficult decision to renew our commitment to the club.

“We are looking forward to continuing this partnership for at least three more years.”

Saints chief executive Allan Robson welcomed Elite Insurance’s renewed commitment.

“Elite Insurance has been a fantastic Elite Sponsor,” he said. “Jason and his team are interested in growing many different aspects of the club, and have worked with us in a variety of areas.

“We’re delighted that they have seen the benefit of an association with the Saints during our most successful period in living history, but also that they see the value in developing the next generation of supporters and rugby players.

“A growing sport can only be good for rugby as a whole, and we will continue to work closely with Elite Insurance over the next few years.”
