McNamara: DJM has a very clear and focused vision

Douglas-Jones Mercer (DJM) Solicitors has signed a six-figure deal for SOS Connect from (SOS) as part of its drive to harness technology to deliver an enhanced service to clients.

The firm is replacing its legacy legal solution with SOS Connect for integrated practice and case management.

DJM Solicitors is a full-service law firm with 60 people based in Swansea, and also in serviced meeting facilities in Cardiff, Porthcawl and The Mumbles.

“Although we practice in all the traditional areas of legal work, over the last few years the commercial side has increasingly become the main driver of our business,” says Barry Davies, practice director at DJM Solicitors.

“With this in mind we needed our systems to be more fully integrated and we also aimed to become a paperless firm. We had been with our incumbent provider for a considerable length of time and felt that achieving these goals would have been a tall order.”

Rather than upgrading its legacy system, DJM researched the market and decided to switch to SOS Connect.

“SOS’s senior people impressed us from the off and in the end it was a straightforward decision to change to SOS Connect,” says Barry Davies.

“Everyone at SOS is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. The firm has a very impressive client base, one which is a perfect fit for us, and we are confident that together we can build a long-lasting partnership.

“This is a big investment for us as a firm but it is one which we are happy with – it will improve the firm’s overall efficiency no end and help take it to the next stage of where we want to be.”

David McNamara, managing director of SOS, said: “The team at DJM has a very clear and focused vision of their future IT needs and it has been a genuine pleasure working with them towards this contract. Their migration to SOS Connect will allow the firm’s systems to integrate all the components it requires to achieve a fully streamlined and efficient operation.”
