Digby Brown LLP selects Lexis Visualfiles as preferred solution for case and matter management

LexisNexis® Enterprise Solutions [1] (www.lexisnexis-es.co.uk [2]), a leading provider of content and technology solutions, has announced that Digby Brown LLP, Scotland’s largest personal injury firm, consistently awarded the highest ratings in the sector by the prestigious Legal 500 and Chambers Guides to the UK legal profession, has selected Lexis® Visualfiles® as the firm’s next generation case and matter management solution. Visualfiles will be deployed across 210+ users in Digby Brown’s five offices in Scotland.

“We wanted a solution that would support us in achieving our goal of providing access to justice for accident victims using a combination of legal expertise, an innovative approach to litigation funding, excellent client care and cutting-edge technology,” explained Robert Swanney, Partner at Digby Brown. “The solution needed to offer the flexibility to build in new capabilities in tune with changing business requirements. The fact that the planned development of the product closely matches our identified business needs in the foreseeable future gives us great confidence in the solution. Clearly, LexisNexis has a very good understanding of the needs of the personal injury market.”

Digby Brown chose Visualfiles over other solutions on the market for its proven ability to deliver ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality alongside advanced customisability; and a clearly defined product development roadmap that will support the firm’s strong customer focussed culture. Digby Brown LLP is short listed in the Customer Focus category of the 2013 Scottish Business Awards, alongside household names such as BSkyB, Scottish Gas and Arnold Clarke. The winners of the award will be announced at an event in Edinburgh later this month where former US President Bill Clinton is scheduled to give the keynote address.

Alan Fraser, General Manager at LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions, commented, “The personal injury market is undergoing tremendous change as a consequence of the recently implemented Jackson Reforms in England along with the Court Reform legislation and the Taylor Review in Scotland. Business efficiency is now critical to firms’ profitability. Our technology is designed to enable firms to optimise their business processes, scale operations and even branch out into complementary practice areas to achieve strategic business goals. We are extremely encouraged by the interest we are receiving from the personal injury sector and are delighted to have Digby Brown on board.”
