Davis Blank Furniss sees beauty of SOS Connect

Davis Blank Furniss has invested in SOS Connect, the legal software solution developed by (SOS [1]). The firm cites its main reasons for selecting the system as value for money, sector expertise, excellent service and product scalability.

With 12 partners and over 60 members of staff, Davis Blank Furniss provides a full range of commercial and private client legal services. Its head office is in Manchester with an additional office in Glossop.

As a progressive legal business, Davis Blank Furniss recognises the centrality of investing in advanced business process and case management [2] technology to support the firm into the future.

Carole Burleigh, Partnership Secretary, explains: “Technology is key to the success of the firm. In order to compete in today’s market our processes need to be as streamlined as possible enabling our fee earners to be effective whilst ensuring that we can report accurately on relevant financial, risk and marketing information.”

Addressing evolving compliance demands was a key driver for the firm’s investment in SOS Connect [3]. Carole Burleigh adds: “We need to mitigate risk as per the new regime and regulations and therefore are introducing a case management system which covers all work types.”

Carole Burleigh continues: “The system will be implemented at all levels and in both offices. We are only at the beginning of the process, but to date, we’re delighted with the way the project is progressing.”

As long-standing users of SOS’ practice management software since 2000, the value contained within this long-term relationship was another important part of the firm’s decision to progress onto SOS Connect.

Carole Burleigh adds: “We chose SOS Connect because of its perceived value for money, and because of SOS’ expertise in the legal sector and the level of service they offer.

“The beauty of investing in the SOS Connect system is that it will grow with the firm, and we are looking forward to working in partnership with SOS for many years to come.”

David McNamara, Managing Director of SOS says: “Davis Blank Furniss is highly progressive and innovative with a clear vision of where it wants to be – we are delighted to continue our relationship with the firm. The team are embracing the project at their end and I know they will ensure to make the very most of their new system.”
