Following on from our successful COLP and COFA forums held earlier this year, Weightmans [1], in conjunction withHurst Accountants, will be hosting a breakfast workshop on the roles of COLPs and COFAs.
Now that nominations are in, we will provide you with practical solutions and tools together with working examples to help you:
- Identify and assess the risks your practice faces
- Monitor compliance
- Decide what, if anything, you can delegate to others
- Understand what a material breach might be and your reporting obligations.
This will also be your opportunity to share your experiences and concerns to date with other nominated COLPs and COFAs and is not to be missed!
The workshop will be hosted by Michelle Garlick, Partner and Head of Weightmans’ Compl-i service for law firms, and Helen Besant Roberts, Business Services Partner at Hurst and Co Accountants.
The seminar will be held at Weightmans office at 3 Piccadilly Place, Manchester, M1 3BN on 6 September. Coffee and refreshments from 8.30am onwards for a 9.00am start.
