When starting a new business, it is essential to get the right tools. The demands on law firms these days is far greater than they ever used to be and standing out amongst the crowd has to be a priority.

Clearly hard work is a huge factor and when the director’s at Blackfriars law set to achieve their long term plans, they knew we had to get the right technical solutions.

BlackfriarsLAW is a start-up practice based in Birmingham. Since the firm was set up in February this year, they have built a strong reputation in the market. So much so, that they have now been nominated for the Best Start-Up award at the Nachural Summer Business Awards in the West Midlands.

This is no mean feat for a firm that’s only been established for 4 months.

“As a firm, we were particular on the issue of having a system that was adaptable and that can be tailored to our individual needs, we needed a system that was hosted and cloud based, a system with a strong data security focus and remote access, a system that can be both paper light and paperless, and by far the most important factor was that the system had to be a fully integrated standardised system across the whole of our office.

We considered various options and a range of systems available on the market, but DPS Software ticked all the boxes.”

As a new solicitors’ practice, BlackfriarsLAW required a system that could assist them in competing in the legal services sector. To do this, they recognised that excellence in both business efficiency and the level of service a firm provides is ultimately based on the technology it uses.

Anwar continued,

“DPS Software has enabled BlackfriarsLAW to start with a strong and stable foundation to work from. By using DPS, BlackfriarsLAW can work towards its plans without the fear of business interruption. ”

DPS’ consultative approach to partnering with law firms impressed the owners of BlackfriarsLAW. Anwar continued:

The firm met Kunwar Chohan, a regional manager at DPS Software who talked us through the software and provided an excellent demonstration of the system.

Kunwar showcased the systems automation capabilities, as well as the ability to streamline many mundane administrative tasks, he highlighted the software’s efficiency within a practice and in very detail described the advantages of a hosted and cloud-based system.

Kunwar was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire process, furthermore the team at DPS Software are always ready to help should the need arise.”

BlackfriarsLAW has invested heavily into its systems so that the benefit can be enjoyed by employees and passed onto its clients. Providing a great service is how BlackfriarsLAW proposes to stand out from its competitors and having a great system has tremendously helped them in achieving this and getting award recognition.
