Blake Lapthorn chooses Peppermint

Blake Lapthorn has selected the award-winning Peppermint Technology [1] for its next generation practice and case management software.

Vivien Eaden, Blake Lapthorn’s IT Director, said: “Our decision to partner with Peppermint was not so much about technology but about creating an environment for on-going business success. In today’s changing legal market we require a partner that can help us respond effectively to those challenges. We want to put our clients at the centre of what we do.

“The use of Peppermint Technology will help deliver the firm’s business objectives as we seek to streamline our service delivery and deliver the responsiveness, consistency, quality assurance and value that clients want. The Peppermint Platform not only allows us to put the client at the centre of everything we do, but it connects all our data and people in a way that will allow us to become a knowledge driven business.”

Blake Lapthorn serves four markets: private client, owner-managed business, corporate business and not-for-profit business.

The Peppermint Platform will be rolled out across the firm’s offices in Southampton, Portsmouth, Oxford and London. The multi-year contract with Peppermint will replace IRIS Videss and LexisNexis Visualfiles systems among others.

Peppermint CEO Arlene Adams added: “Blake Lapthorn joining the Peppermint community demonstrates the immense value the Peppermint Platform offers to law firms of every size. In larger firms, such as Blake Lapthorn, Peppermint offers all the benefits of an industry leading Microsoft Dynamics platform but tailored for the legal industry.

“In a world where it is difficult to keep up with new technology, the industry platform approach offers large firms the ability to get new products and services to market far quicker and more cost effectively.”
