AspiraCloud to host three UK roundtables on AI governance and compliance for law firms this October

AspiraCloud [1], a technology partner working with law firms and legal aid organisations across the UK, is hosting three roundtable events this October exploring AI governance, SRA compliance and data management in the legal sector.

Delivered in partnership with Microsoft, the sessions will bring managing partners and IT decision-makers together in London and Birmingham (week commencing 5 October) and Manchester (week commencing 12 October), with exact venues and times to be confirmed on registration.

The events follow a summer of increased regulatory activity. The Solicitors Regulation Authority issued a formal warning notice on the misuse of AI in August, disclosing that it had received 42 reports relating to potential AI misuse across the preceding year, and updated its supervision guidance in June to make clear that AI-assisted work requires the same human review and accountability as any other delegated task.

AspiraCloud will bring findings from its State of IT in UK Law Firms report to the discussion, alongside the wider regulatory and market picture, to give attendees a practical rather than theoretical look at where their own firm might stand.

Each roundtable will cover:

“AI adoption in law firms has moved a long way ahead of governance, and most firms know it,” said Adrian Edgar, CEO of AspiraCloud. “These sessions are not a sales pitch. They are a chance for managing partners and IT leads to compare notes with peers, hear what the regulator actually expects right now, and leave with something practical rather than another slide deck to file away.”

Places at each roundtable are limited to keep the discussion focused. Firms interested in attending London, Birmingham or Manchester can register their interest at [insert event registration link]. The full State of IT in UK Law Firms report is also available to download here [2].
