HMRC have announced that CON29 searches provided by local authorities will include VAT from 1 Jan 2017.
How will this affect me?
The good news is that here at SearchFlow we have already prepared for the changes. The addition of VAT is directly handled within our systems seamlessly, to ensure minimal disruption and to allow you to provide accurate information to your clients.
What should I do?
We will keep you informed during the next few weeks as remainder are likely to go live on the 6 April. We will confirm details with local authorities and will give you as much notice as possible of any changes. If prices of local searches are increased by local authorities, we will add VAT automatically, as with the other searches.
