Allianz Legal Protection [1] (ALP) has continued to support its corporate charity the Association of Air Ambulances. Undertaking local fundraising activities, ranging from endurance obstacle course races to skydives, ALP has raised over £5000 in the last 12 months.
Allianz UK has an initial three year fundraising partnership with the Association of Air Ambulance and employees across the business have set themselves a target of raising £1million. ALP will continue to support Allianz UK in reaching this target with a further 10 charity events planned in 2017.
To date Allianz UK has raised just over £400,000 which is well over a quarter of its £1million target.
Charlene Kerpner, ALP’s charity ambassador, commented: “Personal injury is a large part of the work we do and it’s great to be able to raise money for a charity that assists in the aftermath of serious injuries and road traffic collisions, especially as there is such a clear link between our day to day job and the fantastic work they do”
Liz Campbell, chair of the Association of Air Ambulances (Charity) Ltd, commented: “It is a pleasure, on behalf of the UK air ambulances, to thank Allianz Legal Protection for their support through local fundraising activities and for the very generous donations which have been made. The donation will directly assist saving the lives of seriously sick and injured patients.”
