[1]Gurney Harden Solicitors LLP has selected MLC from as its solution of choice to support its newly appointed in-house barrister. MLC is the leading chambers management software (CMS) solution developed for use by barristers and provides diary, fees, case management, billing and automatic time recording to increase efficiency and maximise revenue.
The criminal billing system differs to that of solicitors, so a system that could cope with the specific regulations and requirements for barristers was needed. Gurney Harden LLP has implemented MLC in order to enable effective management of the barrister’s diary and billing.
The firm has opted to implement MLC as a hosted solution, enabling it to be accessed from anywhere, helping to promote flexible working, and ensuring the latest software version is always available.
Gurney Harden LLP is a specialist criminal defence practice of solicitors and higher court advocates based in Ashford, Kent. The firm covers all areas of criminal and prison law from minor traffic offences through to serious white collar, drugs and violence offences.
MLC was selected as its solution of choice on the recommendation of the new in-house barrister’s past experience of working with Advanced Legal. He was keen to continue the relationship and was confident it could offer the features and capabilities needed.
