has announced that Clarion Solicitors is integrating rekoop’s time capture software into their Advanced Legal Practice Management System (PMS) in the first solicitor deal secured following the recent partnership between the two software providers.

The strategic partnership, which supports mid-tier law firms, has seen rekoop’s time capture software fully integrated with Advanced’s Practice Management System (PMS) platforms. This follows a similar alliance to bring rekoop to the barrister market via Advanced Legal’s MLC chambers management solution.

Clarion Solicitors, based in Leeds, operates the Evolution PMS from Advanced Legal and is now piloting a series of rekoop’s solutions including; Desktop, the primary time recording interface,  Digital Footprint, which monitors activity in the background and  mobile, which enables the seamless recording of time while on the move.

Nigel Stott, IT Director of Clarion Solicitors, said: “Advanced Legal and rekoop have enabled us to bring our time recording capability into the 21st century. Law firms often have a  dynamic interaction with their clients and their matters, with multiple touch points – phone calls, documents, emails, and meetings for example. There is constant flow of activity and to accurately record all that, invariably across multiple clients and cases, is a huge challenge and puts an unnecessary extra burden on fee earners.

“The integration of our Evolution PMS with rekoop allows us to automatically capture activities and deliver a complete record of the day to review.  The result is less time missed and more time recorded leading to improved matter costing, more productive fee earners and more billable time.”

Doug Hargrove, Managing Director of Advanced Legal added: “Effective time capture and time recording is an important part of a law firms’ strategy. By integrating Advanced Legal PMS products with rekoop, law firms are able to deploy an innovative and flexible solution that provides an unrivalled understanding of fee earner activity.”

Phil Wedgwood, Managing Director of rekoop, said: “Our partnership with Advanced Legal demonstrates our commitment to the Top 500 firms and we’re keen to deliver solutions that will consistently help them to ‘rekoop more’. We’re looking forward to exploring new areas of growth with Advanced Legal.”

Inbound marketing for law firms – For those about to flock

Chris Davidson Moore LT

Written in honour of Malcolm Young, recently deceased founding member of AC/DC, there are nine references to AC/DC songs throughout this article. We will send a £20 iTunes voucher to the first person who gets in touch to tell us what they are. The forces that are driving change in the legal profession are wide and varied. The ability of law firms and individual solicitors to respond positively and innovatively to these challenges will determine who survives and prospers. Competition for new business is fierce, a dog eat dog world, one might say. Which brings us to AC/CD. Not my favourite rock band, but an acronym for Attract, Convert, Close and Delight – the four pillars of inbound marketing.
