Alexa is a Partner in the Disputed Wills and Trusts team at Bolt Burdon as well as a full member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). With a particular expertise in Wills, Trusts and Inheritance disputes, Alexa regularly acts for individuals in bringing and defending claims against estates, including claims for lack of capacity, want of knowledge and approval and undue influence. Alexa also has experience in fraud and forgery claims and professional negligence relating to wills and trusts, as well as claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
Alexa regularly acts for individuals in connection with Court of Protection matters, including statutory will applications and cases where the appointment of a deputy is required because of financial abuse of an incapacitated person by an attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney. She can also assist deputies and attorneys to recover an incapacitated person’s assets following such financial abuse.
